A Closer Look

The old photos unearthed from my parent's garage have been too numerous to share in previous posts, so I wanted to pause and dedicate a space to a few notable ones from my grandfather's lifetime before I went too far back in my family's history.

The house in Virginia that my grandfather Alfred was born in, in 1907:

Alfred and his parents. My father believes the man standing next to my grandfather might be "Uncle Bill" who would have been Ida's first husband. This is the last photo I have found that includes Charles Hendrich, so it likely was taken in the 1930's as he passed away in 1937.
